- Syngonium podophyllum is the most commonly cultivated species in the genus Syngonium, and is often referred to simply as syngonium. It was originally confused with the similar-looking African genus Nephthytis, and this is still used as a common name for the plant.
- Syngonium podophyllum (nephthytis) or the Goosefoot Plant is a simple but elegant and versatile houseplant. It can be grown easily as a compact bushy looking plant.
- It does best in medium indirect to bright filtered indoor light, or partial shade outdoors and prefers the soil to be kept at least slightly moist. It needs regular watering, a well-draining mixture, and balanced fertilizer for growth.
