- Sansevieria Trifasciata Whitney’- is perfect for table top and a very popular Snake Plant for its beautiful foliage with air purifying ability.
- A personal favourite- the Sansevieria Trifasciata ‘Whitney’! The banded colouring on the edges of each leaf make this a very unique (and generally difficult to find) member of the Snake Plant family.
- Snake plants have strong and sturdy, sword shaped leaves which are drought tolerant and retains the plants water. This plant can be easily propagated by leaf cuttings so you can multiply your family of snake plants or give them away as a gift. This particular variety has a yellow outline along with a flat deep green towards the middle of each stalk.
- Sansevieria is in the list of NASA’s air purifying plants. Research has shown that the broad leaves of Sansevieria soak up toxins and carbon dioxide and produce oxygen to help purify the air in the room. It also purifies and cleans indoor air by removing toxins such as formaldehyde and benzene. Since they produce oxygen mainly at night, Sansevierias make excellent bedroom companions
- Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering. Water thoroughly and allow to drain freely. Do not allow the plant to
- sit in water as this will cause root rot.
Light : Sanseviera whitney does best in moderate to bright, indirect light, but can also adapt to low light conditions if preferred.
Dos and Don’ts after receiving the plant
- Do not re-pot the plant immediately after receiving. We’ve taken care of that with better pot and rich soil.
- Keep the plant in indirect sunlight for 3 to 7 days.
- Always check the soil moisture and keep the plant hydrated all time. Do not over water it.
- For a high leaf color contrast, place it in a bright spot.
