What is Leca and how does it benefit plants?

Fortunately, there is a “cure” for overwatering your plants, and its name is Leca.

Leca will not prevent you from overwatering your plants, but it will make it much simpler to do so correctly.

Prepare the Clay Balls: Before using clay balls for plants, you need to clean them thoroughly. Rinse them in warm water to remove any dust or debris that may have accumulated during storage.

Soak the Clay Balls: Once the clay balls are clean, soak them in water for a few hours. This will help them absorb water and make them more effective at retaining moisture.

Use in Hydroponics: In hydroponic gardening, clay balls are used as a growing medium. Place the clay balls in the growing container and plant your seedlings in them. Make sure to space the plants out so that they have enough room to grow.

Mix with Soil: You can also mix clay balls with soil to improve drainage and moisture retention. Simply add some clay balls to your soil mix and mix well before planting.

Use as Mulch: Clay balls can also be used as mulch around your plants. Spread a layer of clay balls around the base of the plant to help retain moisture and protect the roots from temperature fluctuations.
